the quiet moments

Sneaking up one morning on papa, Lou, and Charlie, I knew this was a cherished moment. My precious mom and dad reading to my first born; a book about his very own name. I'm grateful my mom and dad will get to know Charlie and I pray he will have many years with his Papa and Lou!

I can't belive we are coming up to 5 months with our little one. We're enjoying this stage so much now. The way his eyes light up when he smiles, hearing him discover his voice and all the sounds that he can make, and the way he holds on to his hair when he's falling asleep. My favorite is when I bring my face close to his and he reaches both of his chubby arms up to it and explores my features with his equally chubby hands! The best moment in the morning is when I lean over his crib and our eyes meet and he gives me the best Charlie smile! What a way to start my day. It's amazing how nothing else matters in the world at that moment, except for the two of us!
Daddy and Charlie have formed a special bond since daddy gets to be with Charlie every morning. I often leave for work before the two sleepy heads wake up! Kirk changes, dresses, and feeds Charlie before he takes him to Paula's(our daycare provider).

Speaking of daycare, things are going well. Charlie has many friends there that entertain him all day. He often comes home exausted! He even has two dogs and a tank of fish to watch. I miss him dearly, but know he's learning so much when he's there. Plus, my favorite part of the day is going to pick him up...I love that!

Well, until next time... blessings to all who visit our blog!
