Month three

Our little Charlie Owen is 3 months old! I can't believe how fast the time has gone.... He's so much more alert now. Realizing there is a big world around him and trying to take it all in. Big smiles, laughing, grabbing for things within reach are his "newbies". He has started daycare and is enjoying all his new friends.... mom misses him during the day. He's always welcomed with "Baby Charlie's here!" every morning. Bathtime is one of his favorite activities with daddy and he doesn't cry when his hair gets washed anymore. We had a great photographer who came to our house and helped us capture this precious time. This is one of her great shots with Kirk.

Charlie's First Christmas

Charlie loves his baths...at least BEFORE he gets his hair washed!
Charlie and his cousins had Santa visit them at Papa and Lou's!

First Christmas Eve 2009
We stood in line for a ridiculous amount of time at Macy's 8th floor to visit "A Day in the Life of an Elf". It was cute. Charlie slept until the very end. He then was very interested in all the colors and lights. Maybe next year, Charlie! The best part was a blowout in his diaper that had to be changed in a dressing room..that was a memory!

The tree got put up late and it was our first pre-cut tree we've ever had, but we had a tree! Thanks Rosewood Nursery!
This year has brought so much joy into our family with the addition of Charlie Owen. It's amazing how a little one changes all the priorities in your life. A trip up to the Iron Range brought us right into a winter wonderland. Mom and Dad Halunen's house was filled with the sounds of Christmas excitement with 6 of the 10 grandchildren! Charlie had his first visit from Santa Claus. It was fun to share that experience with the other kids...boy was the living room a mess! We were fortunate enough to escape the flu that many in Kirk's family had...phew! Not only did we have Christmas festivities, but also a birthday party and a baby shower!
It was a great Holiday vacation!
